+ Add |
Mexican Blue Sage |
This low mounding perennial grows to 2' tall and wide. It spreads by underground runners and has a small, silvery foliage which serves as a background for bright blue flowers. The bruised leaves have spicy fragrance. Heaviest bloom is in spring and early fall, intermittent throughout the rest of the season. This Salvia needs full sun and a well drained site. Do not fertilize. Water weekly, once this plant is established.

Different areas of your landscape have different water requirements.
Shrubs need much less water than lawns and drip systems should never be scheduled on the same program with lawns.
Establish separate watering schedules for those areas.
