Description

An attractive, compact, rounded, deciduous shrub. Leaves are simple, opposite, ovate to lanceolate, gray-green, aromatic, 1 1/2" to 3" long, 1/2" wide. Bears dense stalked clusters of small, deep blue, nectar-rich flowers from spring through autumn. Performs better with supplemental water in the hottest heat of the summer. Cut back hard in winter to ensure a good base for springs new growth. Mature shrub is 3' tall and 2.5' wide. It does best in full sun with moderate amount of watering. Does well in clay, loam or sandy soil as long as it's well-draining. Blooms attract bees and butterflies.

Give your plants a chance to breathe.

Water late at night or in the early morning hours to avoid losses to wind and evaporation.
