Description
Herbaceous upright perennial growing to about 2' x 3'. Dicliptera blooms fairly regularly from April to October with small, light purple flowers. Might freeze to the ground but will quickly recover. Prefers full sun, in partial sun may sprawl. Delicate looking plant. Does reseed readily. Showy in fall when its leaves and flower bracts are edged in deep purple lavender. After established, water every 2 weeks in summer. Native to southeastern Arizona, New Mexico, and Mexico.
