Description
Native in Arizona and New Mexico. Woody to 2' tall and wide with short needlike foliage. Flowers are red tubes in summer. There are yellow forms also. It is a long bloomer and resembles a cushion shaped pine. Makes a great border perennial along paths or steps. It also is a hummingbird attractor.
