Yucca faxoniana (carnerosana) |

Faxon or Giant Dagger Yucca |
This upright, trunk-forming yucca slowly reaches 15' tall and 4' wide. Most individuals are single-trunked, although some can form clumps with trunks of different heights. This is a great specimen plant for any desert landscape. Spectacular creamy white, bell shaped flowers bloom in summer, on a terminal stalk that could be 3'-4' tall. Leaves are 3' long, stiff, with stout spines. Trunk is covered with dense thatch. Irrigate every 2-3 weeks after established, especially during the summer.

Even during our hottest months we don't need to water daily.
Give your plants a chance to breathe.
Water late at night or in the early morning hours to avoid losses to wind and evaporation.
