Description
Perennial grows to 1' tall and 3' wide. Profuse pink crepe-paper flowers bloom from spring through fall. With adequate water, it will flower all summer. Will go dormant without water. With onset of cold weather, leaves turn red. In springtime, prune this plant to improve appearance. Birds like seeds. Attracts hummingbirds. Thrives in sunny dry areas on unimproved, well drained soil. Great for dry slopes. May be invasive to neighboring plants. Flowers have sweet fragrance.
