Description

This upright shrub has spreading stems and medium green oval leaves. Both stems and leaves covered with hairs. Bright red to orange tubular flowers, 1" long near stem tips, bloom from fall through spring. It grows 5' tall and 3' wide, in filtered sun and part shade. After it's established, water every 2-3 weeks during the summer. Frost can damage this shrub but it will regrow quickly. Hummingbirds love this plant. Provide well drained soil.

Water Saving Tip:

Even during our hottest months we don't need to water daily.

Give your plants a chance to breathe.

Water late at night or in the early morning hours to avoid losses to wind and evaporation.
