Description

This shrub grows to 4'-8' wide and 3'-6' tall. It has gray green leaves and non-showy flowers. It is tolerant of reflected sun and uses very little water, once it's established. It only needs to be irrigated about once a month after it's established, in spring and summer. It has a dense rounded form; fruit on females starts chartreuse turning brown. Good wildlife food as well as shelter. To keep compact, cut back by one third each year before spring growth. Pollen may cause hay fever.
